6/27/09, Freedom, IN and 6/28/09, Worthington IN -
After a day off in Gosport on the 26th, we pulled out of JW Jonesís. The road was fairly hilly going into Spencer . By the time we got there, I was getting a little hungry so I pulled the lads into a local Burger King for a sandwich and a coffee. Theyíre getting pretty good and waited patiently outside while I went inside for the meal. Of course, they did manage to get pets from a half a dozen folks in the meantime.
A few miles from Freedom, I stopped at a local tack shop where the owners were kind enough to give me some hay. This was a common theme all day long - meeting folks that I had met on the previous trip or other folks that have been following the blog for a long time.
We pulled into the town of Freedom and stopped at the convenience store owned by Jay for the night. I stopped at the store for lunch on the previous trip and Jay was glad to put us up for the night. It was a nice afternoon, with lots of company stopping by to socialize.
6/28/09, Worthington, IN. I had a friend along for the short ride to Worthington this morning. I currently camped at the supermarket I camped at last winter. Weíre on a nice piece of grass and the back and several folks have stopped by to visit. The horses really like the company and are making the most of their celebrity status.
Tomorrow Iím off to the town of Newbury, just a few miles north of Elnora. Iíll lay over for a day or two in Elnora before heading out to the Graber farm for Horse Progress Days.
The last picture is a little different perspective of Bill, who is becoming a real ham for the camera.
