8-17-08 - It was 10:30 AM before we finally left Hony and Randy’s place and began the journey. We travelled a total of 7 miles to the Yeaton farm, just across the border in Epsom, Nh.
About 3 miles into our trip, a Deerfield Police Officer was very kind to direct traffic as we ascended some steeper hills. At the top of the last steep hill there was a medical emergency in a house and traffic was backed up a bit. Where we ended up stopping was adjacent to the cruiser. There was a concern that we might rip the mirror of the cruiser if we continued forward. The police officer asked Lithe Beth if she could crawl over to the driver seat and move the cruiser forward. Even though she didn’t get to “pursuit” speed, Beth thought it was pretty cool.
All the horse are pulling good except Dollie. She continues to believe that she is a movie star, and too cool to pull. Dollie doesn’t know it, but she is about to get a new agent; one that gets a little better then a 10 commission,
We’re now camped at the Yeaton farm in Epsom, NH. Wonderful hosts and a wonderful place. Across their hayfield, I can see where the Deerfield tornado path ripped down the trees,
This was a great day. They don’t get much better!!!
